1125 Markham Road Condos is a new luxury condominium development by Arya Corporation in Scarborough. This pre-construction project is located at 1125 Markham Rd, at the robust intersection of Markham and Ellesmere in the Woburn community.
The new development will feature three condos for a total of 1,040 units, 12,352 square feet of retail space and a 8,847-square-foot public park.
1125 Markham Road Condos is expected to elevate the neighbourhood’s vibrancy with this new visionary development. It consists of four buildings, three of which are condominiums that will all be connected by a 6-storey podium.
The podium will also contain townhome units and retail space located at street level. The 8,847-square-foot public park would be located on the northeast corner of the site near Ellesmere Road, adding to the development’s sense of community.
Building A will be the tallest building rising 36-storeys high; Building B will be 34 storeys fronting onto Markham Road, featuring several setbacks exposing multiple terraces; and Building C will be 19-storeys tall, featuring retail amenity space fronting onto Markham Road.
The three condo buildings will total an impressive 1,040 residential units, which will be broken down in the following contingencies:
- 55 studio units
- 300 one-bedroom
- 261 one-bedroom + den
- 270 two-bedroom
- 49 two-bedroom + den
- 105 three-bedroom
The units in each condo can range from 486 square feet to 870 square feet and will include ample balconies and/or terraces for residents to enjoy views of the area.
All in all the development will total a GFA of 814,343 square feet including 9,585 square feet of indoor amenity space and 9,678 square feet of outdoor space. We can expect these spaces to contain quality amenities such as world-class fitness facilities, pools, lounge areas, and refined lobbies. The development proposal also features a 5-level underground parking garage with 1006 vehicular parking spaces and 868 bicycle spots.
This future site will intrinsically capture the attention of students, and couples due to its convenient location and exceptional amenities.
Location & Neighbourhood
1125 Markham Road Condos is located by Markham and Ellesmere in one of Scarborough’s revitalizing neighbourhoods. The area which is already established, is undergoing re-developments to further become an area to live, work and play. For years the Woburn neighbourhood has featured low-rise residential homes, but as the region feels the heat of the Toronto real estate, more and more condos have been proposed here to keep up with the demand.
This area is considered a family-oriented neighbourhood as it encompasses a wide range of schools, parks and recreational facilities. Schools include many elementary, middle and high schools, as well as Centennial College and University of Toronto Scarborough Campus –both located under 10 minutes from these new residences.
