This 87-storeys development will have the European roots architecture with Switzerland-based architects Herzog & De Meuron who will work in collaboration with Quadrangle. This incredible development will hold room for plenty of office, retail and residential space.
1200 Bay Street Condos is set to be an ultra-slim, mixed-use skyscraper that will be sure to stand-out from other towers in Yorkville. Created by European-based developers, we can expect this project will transform this site. Sitting in the north-west corner of Bay and Bloor, this development will replace a 12-storey office tower and rental building that takes up this area. Investors can expect this tower to rise an incredible 87-storeys off the ground with the first 16-storeys dedicated to retail and office space.
Not only will this development replace the amount of office space in this area but will add more space for employment opportunities. The next 64-storeys will be dedicated to residential suites. There will be 332 modern and spacious residential units ranging from one-bedroom to penthouse suites.
The last seven floors will be dedicated to private amenity space. Although we don’t know all of the amenities yet, we do know that the three top floors will include a skylounge, restaurant and rentable event space that will give a 360-degree view of the city. This development will be the epitome of luxury and we can only expect the interiors to mirror this theme.
The architectural-style of this development will be unlike anything we have ever seen in this city. The entire tower will consist of glazed, floor-to-ceiling windows. Glass will be one of the main elements of this development. The tower itself will be pencil-thin and instead will focus on vertical structural elements. The building will appear transparent and expressive with the amount of reflective glass that will cover the entire building. As this development starts to unfold, we can expect to see a list of luxury features and finishes.
