142 Queenston Street Is a mixed-use, multi-building development in the Queenston neighbourhood of St. Catharines. This pre-construction project features four condo buildings, ranging in height from 11 to 16 storeys, and five townhome blocks offering a combined total of 1,131 residential units in one- to three-bedroom sizes.
The project will be built in four phases. Condo buildings will include retail space at grade, ample amenity space, and underground parking, providing enhanced convenience to residents.
142 Queenston St project will be an impressive residential project featuring four mid- to high-rise condo towers with separate podiums and five 2-storey townhouse blocks.
This development will be built in four phases, starting from the west and moving eastward. The first phase will construct an 11-storey condo with 168 units; the second phase will add a 15-storey condo with 284 units; the third phase will be another 15-storey condo with 284 units and two townhome blocks with 12 units; and the final phase will be a 16-storey condo with 355 units and three townhome blocks with 28 units.
A grand total of 1,131 units will include 1,091 condo suites in one- to three-bedroom sizes and 40 townhome units. The condo unit breakdown will be 845 one-bedroom, 196 two-bedroom, and 50 three-bedroom suites — well-suited for a mixed community of individuals, couples, and families. All four condo buildings will feature retail space on the ground floor facing Queenston St, providing shopping convenience to the community.
Each building will also have two levels of underground parking, providing a total of 818 parking spaces (649 residential and 169 visitor spaces) on the development site. Each townhouse will have a private garage and driveway. Additionally, 140 bike spaces will be provided throughout the development.
Residents can enjoy plenty of amenity space, including ground floor courtyards with landscaping and outdoor seating — perfect for relaxing, chatting, and meeting friends and neighbours. Queenston Street is a mixed-use corridor with commercial, residential, and office buildings, providing walkable amenities. The condo site used to be occupied by a hospital, so ancillary medical buildings can still be found nearby — great for healthcare workers and people with healthcare needs. Further west, Queenston St becomes more of a main street, turning south into Downtown St. Catharines.
St. Catharines is served by Niagara Region Transit, which offers buses, on-demand, and rideshare services. The closest transit hub to the development site is the St. Catharines Terminal, which can be found in the heart of downtown, just 1.5 km away. Meanwhile, the St. Catharines GO Station is about 3 km away, offering riders access to VIA Rail trains, GO buses, and the Lakeshore West GO line. Commuters can reach Toronto’s Union Station in 2 hours by taking the GO train.
