There’s change coming to the area of Eglinton West that will reshape the neighbourhood for decades to come.

1801 Eglinton Avenue West Condos is a new 30-storey residential condo development by KingSett Capital in Toronto. This pre-construction condo is located at 1801 Eglinton Ave W, east of Dufferin Street and west of Northcliffe Boulevard in the Oakwood Village neighbourhood.

The developer, along with architectural firm Quadrangle will work on this project in order to create a residential tower that seeks to capitalize on one of Toronto’s most anticipated largest transit expansion sites near the proposed Crosstown LRT Fairbank Station.

Amenities

1801 Eglinton Avenue West Condos will offer 168 one-bedrooms that will be almost 600 square feet; 88 two-bedrooms that will be almost 900 square feet; and 28 three-bedroom suites that will be almost 1,200 square feet. There will also be a total of 47 units from the proposed 284 units that are going to be reserved as Rental Replacement Units, whereby their location within the site will be determined at a future date.

There will be a 4-storey podium facing Eglinton Avenue West, which will step down to a single-storey podium along the southern portion of the property towards Vaughan Road.

This project will provide over 238,000 square feet of total residential floor space, as well as almost 5000 square feet of non-residential space. The plan by developer KingSett is to replace the existing mixed-use building with a 284-unit condo tower that will host almost 2,000 square feet of retail space, as well as a 3,000 square foot community hub and business innovation centre.

In terms of parking, there will be a three-level underground garage that will contain a total of 53 parking spots, along with 285 bicycle spaces that are planned for the P1 level. There is still a site plan approval application pending for a later date.

Location & Neighbourhood

1801 Eglinton Avenue West Condos is located within the Fairbank neighbourhood at the intersections of Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West. The area of Eglinton Avenue West is known for its multi-cultural shops and dozens of stores, including fashion boutiques, jewellery stores, as well as authentic West Indian and Jamaican restaurants. Residents who walk or travel along Dufferin Street will also find local shops, plazas and restaurants that attract people from all over the world. In fact, the nearby Castlefield Design and Decor district, located along Castlefield Road at Caledonia, offers distinctive decor and design retailers draws a lot of tourism.

Residents can also enjoy recreational activities at the Fairbank Memorial Community Centre, as well as the Fairbank Memorial Park, which has two baseball diamonds, a children’s playground, and a basketball court and swimming pool.
