Description
Occupying a convenient site adjacent to both transit access and major highways, this development brings contemporary living space to a neighbourhood that’s slated for major growth. Featuring condominiums, office and retail space, it will be a fantastic addition to the redeveloping area, likely setting the standard for other new projects nearby. 3621 Dufferin Street is a pre-construction condominium development proposed for the Clanton Park neighbourhood.
Both the developer and the occupancy date for the project have yet to be released, so be sure to register on our site for the latest updates.
This project, currently being designed by TACT Architecture, will house a mix of uses in a tasteful midrise building, rising nine storeys.
141 residential units are proposed, including a mix of:
- 10 studios
- 98 one-bedroom
- 18 two-bedroom
- 15 three-bedroom units
Residents will have access to 3,3035 square feet of indoor amenity space, connected to the same amount of outdoor amenity space, which will be divided between the eighth floor and the ninth floor’s rooftop.
Almost 40,000 square feet of retail space will be included at street level, acting as an extension of the nearby retail hub in this neighbourhood, while just over 62,000 square feet of office space will occupy the building’s second floor.
559 parking spaces are proposed in a three-level underground garage, although with almost adjacent subway access, you might find yourself not needing a vehicle at all. This is a well-thought-out project that includes a much-needed range of housing styles and provides the community with commercial space that will tie into the area’s ongoing retail redevelopment, something that continues to enhance the area’s streetscape.
Location & Neighbourhood
Condos in Clanton Park are increasing in number, particularly in the immediate area surrounding Wilson Station, just a few minutes’ walk from the Building site. Dare we say this neighbourhood is North York’s next major transformation?
A variety of big-box retailers are just steps away, including a major retail redevelopment taking place adjacent to the condominium site. Shopping and dining options are at your door and it’s a single subway stop to Yorkdale Shopping Centre, North York’s primary upscale retail destination. The recently expanded mall features over 250 stores and services, including its “luxury wing,” where you’ll find brands such as Holt Renfrew, Michael Kors and Swarovski.
t’s also a single subway stop to Downsview Park, over 500 acres of greenspace that features orchards, walking paths, athletic fields and a variety of recreation programs. Dog walkers, recreation lovers and families flock to the park on a regular basis, which is easily one of the city’s most underrated greenspaces. It also features music festivals and markets all-year round, serving as a major gathering space, especially during the warmer months.
