A large, modern skyscraper is set to make a statement near the city’s thriving Yonge-Dundas Square.
372 Yonge Street Condos is a modern 74-storey mixed-use condominium development in Toronto. This pre-construction condo is located at 372 Yonge St, in the south-west corner of Yonge Street and Gerrard Street West.
This mixed-use development will offer 406 residential units as well as space for retail, office use and amenities.
372 Yonge Street Condos will be built over existing multiple heritage sites including a 1930 Art Deco building, as well as three additional heritage buildings built in the years 1862, 1864 and 1865. A heritage specialist architect analyzed how to retain these multiple properties while integrating a new iconic tower. The proposal states that these heritage sites will be preserved while most of the building construction will sit at 372 Yonge Street.
The plan calls for a 74-storey mixed-use building that will display some of the most modern architecture including sleek lines that resemble waves from the ground floor to the top of the podium on the tenth floor.
The rest of the building will feature large, gold beams and windows covering every inch of the tower to give residents access to the most natural light. There will be 406 residential suites proposed for this development, split between: 232 – one bedroom, 116 – two bedroom and 58 three-bedroom. There will also be over 12,000 square-feet of amenity space spread throughout the entire building as well as over 7,000 square-feet of retail space and over 25,000 square-feet of office space located on the first floors of the podium.
There will not be vehicle parking spaces proposed for this development. However, cars are not needed as this area serves some of the best transit in the city. In replacement of the vehicle parking space, this development will offer 430 bicycle parking spaces.
