Builder
Great Gulf Homes has revealed the most highly anticipated plans for the 1 Bloor Street East Toronto real estate site. Called Number One Bloor, Great Gulf Homes follows the cancelled 1 Bloor Street Toronto condo project originally designed and planned by Bazis International at this incredible project site.
The new sculpted architectural design for the shorter Number One Bloor Toronto condo is impressive, and this skyscraper is ready for construction at the corner of Bloor and Yonge Streets. The public unveiling of the architecture for the Great Gulf Homes Toronto Number One Bloor condo high-rise tower was revealed in late March 2010 and this sculpted 65 storey luxury condo tower will be slightly shorter than the original plans for the 80 storey condominium high-rise planned by Bazis International (to become the highest residential high-rise tower in Canada at the time).
The significant addition of the luxury Toronto Number One Bloor condo tower will represent three years of design, proposals and funding, and this mixed use development will combine a total of 690 suites along with 100,000 square feet of retail space along the main level and podium. The wavy design is sculpted in a way to make it feel more organic, but the tower still has a thinner seven storey base with a shopping centre and two level spa. The Hariri Pontarini Architect group designed the new Number One Bloor Toronto condo tower at 1 Bloor Street East, so that it doesn’t dominate the skyline, but perhaps adds to the unique modern edge of the Yonge-Bloor corridor.
