Description
Imagine your very own luxury condo, with an upscale shopping district at your front door, while expansive greenbelts and a botanical garden are steps away.
Spirits Condos is a new condominium project by Cadillac Fairview Corporation and alongside Lanterra Developments in North York. This pre-construction condo project is located at 169 The Donway in in the Don Mills area.
The developer’s proposal calls for two residential towers – 39 and 34 storeys – atop a two-storey base. The base will house retail and office space, and amenities for condo residents on the second floor. The second floor of the podium will also have a communal terrace for residents.
Spirits Condos will house 736 units in total, including 72 percent one-bedroom units (approximately 532), 18 percent two-bedroom units (approximately 131) and 10 percent three-bedroom units (approximately 73). Plenty of parking will be provided with 1,154 spaces for vehicles and 565 bicycle spaces.
Internationally-acclaimed firm Hariri Pontarini Architects is behind the design of this condo project. They’re behind some of Toronto’s most architecturally striking residential and commercial buildings, as well as cultural landmarks like the Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario. Renderings for the site at Don Mills show a pair of sleek and angular towers that will give unparalleled views of the nearby ravines and city skyline.
Location & Neighbourhood
Don Mills, long a popular, upscale shopping hub has been targeted by the city for a rejuvenation. The basic elements of this rejuvenation include a new community centre, more housing options and an open space that includes parks and walkways, connecting pedestrians between neighbourhoods and the community center. The design and landscaping of the area will reflect the garden city concept. This makes it a great time to invest in real estate in the Don Mills area. It scores an excellent 86 on its Walk Score.
The area is close to the Don Valley Parkway, which makes it equally easy to get downtown or to other parts of the GTA. The Don River itself flows just east of the development, with ample green space and walking and biking paths. To the west are the Toronto Botanical Gardens – a perfect place to spend a Saturday afternoon away from the chaos of downtown Toronto – and Sunnybrook Park, one of North York’s largest public parks. The park has walking and cycling paths, dog parks, even Sunnybrook Stables, which offers horseback riding lessons.
Reputable schools, hospitals and some of North York’s most unique cultural attractions are close to Spirits Condos like the Aga Khan Museum and the Ontario Science Centre.
