Description
This new project is a mixed-use pre-construction condominium development proposed by Haven Developments. The occupancy date has yet to be released, so be sure to register with us for all the latest updates. Westin Prince Condos is located at North York’s Don Mills neighbourhood.
This condo is an ambitious project that involves the redevelopment of the upscale Westin Prince Hotel and the addition of three more mixed-use buildings, for a total of 564 new residential units. Almost 35,000 square feet of retail space will be added to the site, along with 250,000 square feet of office use.
This is a prime site that is bordered by a leafy ravine to the east and sits in a high-density employment district. Shopping and dining options are just steps away, as is the Don Valley Parkway for easy access into the heart of downtown Toronto.
The site at 900 York Mills Road is already home to the Westin Prince Hotel, which is under ownership by the Japanese-owned Prince Hotel chain. The developers are proposing to demolish two surface parking lots and a free-standing commercial building to add a 10-storey expansion to the hotel, while dividing the remaining 12 acres of land into three smaller blocks.
Block G will occupy the southeast corner of the site, backing onto the ravine lands. The structure will feature a six-storey podium – containing retail and amenity space – and a 26-storey tower, for a structure that reaches 32 storeys in total.
This tower will include 4,628 square feet of indoor amenity space and 4,531 square feet of outdoor amenity space in the form of a terrace on the podium’s rooftop, along with a 592-square-foot outdoor courtyard accessible from the ground floor. In total, this tower will feature 335 new residential units.
Block F will sit adjacent, separated by a new driveway and consist of an 8-storey mid-rise with office and retail space, fronting onto York Mills Road.
Block D and E will essentially share a single structure, a six-storey podium and a 20-storey tower, forming a 26-storey structure in its entirety. The proposal for this building calls for retail on the ground floor and a spectacular 7,416 square feet of outdoor amenities, including an outdoor swimming pool, a partially-covered dining area and an outdoor fireplace with plenty of lounging space. In total, it will add 229 new residential units.
1,195 parking spaces and 384 bicycle spaces will be incorporated into the development, spread across two levels of underground parking and two levels of above-ground parking.
The parcel of land is slated for a series of modern upgrades, including a new water feature, a sleek porte cochere driveway and professional landscaping. A public park is also planned for the site, which will be accessible from York Mills Road, helping to enliven the neighbourhood and enhance the streetscape. The park proposes a designated pet area, public art, a children’s playground and plenty of lawn space.
Bringing together the best of hotel-inspired living, retail, exclusive amenities and greenspace, this condo project will make an inspired addition to the neighbourhood.
Location & Neighbourhood
Don Mills presents an excellent opportunity to be part of a park-filled residential and commercial neighbourhood that offers optimal highway access, making it a great location for the commuter.
Featuring extensive greenspace that surrounds the Don Valley, it’s a great location for hikers, cyclists and residents who appreciate a natural setting to escape to.
Both the Don Valley Parkway and Highway 401 are easy to get to, so getting into the heart of downtown Toronto is a breeze, as are other major GTA destinations. The site around the condominium development is just steps from a variety of restaurants and day-to-day conveniences, while it’s a short drive to both the upscale Bayview Village Shopping Centre and the Shops at Don Mills for all your retail needs.
Certain pockets in this neighbourhood are experiencing a major development boom, especially along some of the major arteries. We’ve seen a 45-acre master-planned community put the neighbourhood on the map, while the redevelopment of an upscale shopping mall – complete with added residential towers – is also likely to be a major draw.
Invest in a growing region, where shopping, greenspace and highway access are at your fingertips!
